If you are trying to lose weight stay away from those fad diets, your body needs a well balanced and varied diet along with a disciplined workout regimin. That is the only true way to lose weight–why do you think they call it WORKING out, because you need to put in the work.
Most people don't know this but the human body needs 45% - 65% carbohydrates, 20% - 35% fat and 10% - 35% protein. DO NOT overdose on protein, protein is very important for your muscles and cells to recover after working out, but a diet that consists of too much protein can lead to bone loss.
Calorie intake is also crucial to staying healthy and or losing weight. A sedentary(a person too lazy to come in to the gym) woman, and some older adults need about 1,600 calories per day. Most children, teenage girls, active women, and many sedentary(a person too lazy to come in to the gym) men need about 2,200 calories per day. Teenage boys, active men, and some very active women need about 2,800 calories per day–athletes may need to intake more than 2,800 calories per day to feed there bodies.
It's all about what you eat and how much of it you eat. Remember a balanced diet and disciplined workout plan will get you healthy and keep you there, now get your butt to the gym!
